Iron Galaxy, a studio best known for developing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 and its ports and co-development work on other franchises, has teased that the long-rumored Fallout: New Vegas remake could be coming soon.

The details:

  • In a post to social media, the developer shared an image of two monitors, one of which is showing the iconic Fallout “Please Stand By” image, and the other showing that it is a part of the latest company presentation. “Today’s our February company meeting. It’s time to catch up with what the company’s been up to and what’s coming up next for IG,” the caption reads.

  • Notably, the image used is that of the version found in Obsidian’s beloved 2010 RPG Fallout: New Vegas, leading fans to believe that Iron Galaxy could be working on an Oblivion Remastered-style remake of the game. The studio has previously worked on the Fallout franchise, namely helping develop Fallout 76 and the VR port of Fallout 4.
  • It has been reported several times from reliable sources that Microsoft plans to release remasters of both Fallout 3 and New Vegas sometime this year. It’s said that Bethesda is aiming to ensure that the games are polished prior to a release and that they will be built using a hybrid of Unreal Engine 5 for its visuals and the original Gamebryo engine for its gameplay, just like Oblivion Remastered.
