Epic Games is reportedly developing a Disney extraction shooter

It has been reported that Epic Games is developing a new Disney-themed extraction shooter that the company is aiming to release in November 2026 as part of an ongoing partnership between the two companies.

The details:

• According to a Bloomberg report, the project is described as the first full game to emerge from Disney’s roughly $1.5 billion investment in Epic Games back in 2024, building on a wider plan to create an interconnected “games and entertainment universe” that includes IPs from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and more.
• Sources familiar with development say the title is an online extraction shooter similar to the likes of Arc Raiders, where squads of players fight enemies and collect various items and resources before escaping. However, the game will instead feature Disney characters.
• The unnamed title is reportedly targeting a November 2026 launch window, though it is not yet clear whether it will be a standalone release or integrated into Fortnite.
• This shooter is said to be one of three Disney-related titles currently in the works at Epic. According to Bloomberg, Epic has moved resources away from one of the projects after Disney was unimpressed by its proposed timeline, while the second has received lukewarm feedback internally.
