Death Stranding's Mac and iPhone releases have been delayed
505 Games has announced that the iPhone 15 and Mac ports of Kojima Production’s Death Stranding have been delayed until next year.
The details:
In a new post on X, the publisher confirmed that it would miss its original target release window of 2023. "We just need a little more time!" 505 Games stated. "Stay tuned for a new release date in early 2024."
The game will only be available to those who own an iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max, a modern iPad, or a Mac with an M1 chip or higher. This is not the last of Kojima's titles to be released on Apple's platforms; the designer has stated that his studio is "actively working to bring our future titles to Apple platforms."
AAA mobile and Mac gaming is becoming more popular, with the Mac port of Lies of P and Capcom's iPhone versions of Resident Evil 4 Remake and Village all showing strong performance on platforms that were previously thought to be unfit for games other than casual releases.
