505 Games has announced that the iPhone 15 and Mac ports of Kojima Production’s Death Stranding have been delayed until next year.

The details:

  • In a new post on X, the publisher confirmed that it would miss its original target release window of 2023. "We just need a little more time!" 505 Games stated. "Stay tuned for a new release date in early 2024."

  • The game will only be available to those who own an iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max, a modern iPad, or a Mac with an M1 chip or higher. This is not the last of Kojima's titles to be released on Apple's platforms; the designer has stated that his studio is "actively working to bring our future titles to Apple platforms."

  • AAA mobile and Mac gaming is becoming more popular, with the Mac port of Lies of P and Capcom's iPhone versions of Resident Evil 4 Remake and Village all showing strong performance on platforms that were previously thought to be unfit for games other than casual releases.
