The 2026 edition of the annual charity speedrunning marathon Awesome Games Done Quick has come to an end, bringing in $2.44 million in donations for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

The details:

  • The week-long event, which ran from January 4 to 10, 2026, took place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was broadcast live on Twitch and YouTube 24/7, raising a total of $2,443,554 for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
  • Since its inception in 2010, Games Done Quick has raised more than $59.8 million for various charities, with the Prevent Cancer Foundation having received more than $28 million of that total across multiple events. Aside from AGDQ, the organizer also holds several other charity events, including Back to Black, Frost Fatales, and sister charity marathon Summer Games Done Quick, which will take place in February, March, and July, respectively.
  • AGDQ 2026, which saw a non-stop stream of speedruns from all genres of gaming, featured a number of notable moments, with one of the most notable being a 70-person relay race through Super Mario 64 collecting 70 stars, organized by speedrunner KingJO444. Other highlights included a speedrun of the Resident Evil 2 Remake played entirely on a Guitar Hero controller and a run of Pokémon Emerald with the Pokémon used voted on by viewers.
