Summer Games Done Quick 2026 concluded on Saturday evening after seven days of speedrunning, raising a final total of $2,408,901 for Doctors Without Borders. The figure keeps the annual event steady with recent editions, matching both this January's Awesome Games Done Quick 2026 and last year's SGDQ total.

The details:

  • SGDQ 2026 ran July 5 through 11 in Minneapolis, with the full marathon broadcast live on Twitch and YouTube.
  • The event went into its final day with less than $1.5 million in the bank, but a strong finish driven by donation incentive runs pushed it over the line. Those included a Super Dram World 3 run and a blindfolded Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Simon fight.
  • This year's marathon introduced several novel ideas, including moving the Silly Games Done Quick block to early Thursday morning, a Total Nuclear Annihilation pinball run, a VS Super Mario Bros. run on original arcade hardware, a Hey You, Pikachu! run, and a Resident Evil 3: Nemesis run played on a guitar controller.
  • The event also featured GDQ debuts of several recent games including Saros, Slay the Spire 2, Resident Evil Requiem, and Pragmata.
  • Up next for Games Done Quick: the organisation heads to Gamescom for the first time, followed by Flame Fatales 2026 (September 13-19), Games Done Queer (October 3-4), and Black in a Flash (February 4-7, 2027) for Black History Month. AGDQ 2027 will run January 3-10 in Atlanta.
