Capcom is increasing salaries for all employees in Japan
Capcom has announced that it will raise all employees' base salaries at the start of the 2025 fiscal year, with current employees receiving a bonus.
The details:
The publisher announced a salary increase in a press release, stating that it intends to raise salaries for existing employees by at least 5% next fiscal year. Salaries for graduate hires will also rise from 235,000 JPY per month (around $1,560) to 300,000 JPY per month (around $2,000).
Current employees and those who join after April 2024 will also receive a one-time payment, which Capcom referred to as "an investment in the people who support the future of the company."
Capcom states that this increase is a commitment to “pursuing further investment in human capital and the acquisition of exceptional talent,” and the move is an attempt “to address the issues facing our society while aiming to improve its corporate value and establishing a relationship of trust with employees and stakeholders.”
