Sega has announced that one of its three playable games at Gamescom later this month has yet to be publicly revealed.

The details:

  • The publisher confirmed in a new press release (via Games Press) that Sonic X Shadow Generations and Atlus' RPG Metaphor: ReFantazio will be playable at its booth, making them available for the first time in Europe. However, the third game to be available at Gamescom will be an "as yet unannounced project," with more information expected in the coming weeks.

  • Aside from the playable games, Sega's booth will also include a custom-built Shadow-inspired motorcycle, a giant Seeker statue from Metaphor, and Sonic himself, with fans able to take photos.

  • Gamescom will run from August 21 to August 25 in Cologne, beginning with Geoff Keighley's Gamescom Opening Night Live show on August 20. The event will feature more exhibitors than any previous Gamescom, including Xbox, which will have over 50 playable games and specially built theaters with exclusive showcases at its booth.
