Xbox reveals Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, release date set for 2024
MachineGames' upcoming Indiana Jones game, titled Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, will be released in 2024.
The details:
The Xbox and PC title was revealed at Developer_Direct yesterday, providing a complete look at Indy in his new adventure set between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade.
It has been confirmed that the game will be available on Game Pass from day one when it is released later this year.
Although veteran actor Troy Baker will voice the titular character, MachineGames has managed to secure the likeness of Harrison Ford, making the iconic character look exactly like his movie counterpart.
Details about the plot were also revealed, with the game beginning in Marshall College, where Indy is awoken by a thief, whom he then pursues in an attempt to figure out why an insignificant artifact was stolen. This takes him on a journey to the Vatican, Egypt, Sukhothai, and the Himalayas.
The title will be played primarily from a first-person perspective, which MachineGames describes as "ideal." However, third-person will be used for cutscenes and areas with action, such as climbing. Unsurprisingly, his whip will see a lot of use as it is used for combat, traversal, and even distracting enemies.
