Summer Game Fest 2026 date and venue confirmed

Geoff Keighley has announced that this year’s Summer Game Fest will take place at a new California-based venue in June.

The details:

• Summer Game Fest will return on Friday, June 5, 2026, Keighley announced on X. The live showcase will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, featuring new game announcements, surprises, and reveals. As usual, the event will be open to the public, with tickets going on sale in spring 2026 and the show streamed online worldwide.

• The 2025 edition drew a record 50 million viewers, making it the most-watched Summer Game Fest to date. Highlights included Resident Evil Requiem, Stranger Than Heaven (formerly Project Century), and the reveal of a Scott Pilgrim The Game sequel featuring a new story from franchise creator Bryan Lee O'Malley.
• While details for next year’s lineup remain under wraps, players can expect updates across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and now, Nintendo Switch 2. However, Keighley will also host The Game Awards on December 11 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, with nominees to be revealed in mid-November and several major announcements likely.
