4A Games
4A Games, the studio behind Metro Exodus, has been confirmed as an attendee at Gamescom later this month.
The details:
- 4A Games has been listed as an exhibitor at Gamescom on the eventโs official website, as spotted by Insider Gaming, with their booth located in Hall 3.2 at Stand D051/C050. The developer has yet to publicly announce its attendance at the event, but it is expected to do so soon, possibly with a teaser of what it plans to show off.
- It was reported earlier this year that a sequel to 2019's Metro Exodus was in a fully playable state, though little else was revealed about the title. The game is said to start in a dream sequence before the main character wakes up inside their base of operations. It was also speculated that due to its current state, it could be set for a 2024 release, with most concerns relating to the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war, with its sub-studio located in Ukraine.
- The studio also confirmed in a November 2020 update that it was investigating the possibility of a multiplayer-focused Metro experience, and while the project has not been mentioned since the company did state in January 2023 that its goals "remain the same." If the project is still in the works, we might learn more about its direction at the event.
More gaming news:
- The 2023 release of Call of Duty has been revealed as Modern Warfare 3, a direct continuation of 2022's Modern Warfare II. The title will most likely be similar to the previous entry, with player unlocks from multiplayer being carried over to the new game.
- RPCSX, a PlayStation 4 emulator, has become the first to run FromSoftware's Bloodborne and a demo of Hideo Kojima's canceled P.T. Both games are far from playable, as the emulator's inability to draw graphics causes the game to display nothing more than a black screen. Regardless, it's an incredible feat to accomplish in just a month, and we may see more developments soon.
