Be part of a supportive team environment and directly impact the evolution of Age of Empires, a legendary series in the real-time strategy space. Being able to work in an EU/US timezone is crucial here, and you must have played AoE before, particularly AoE 2.

If you don’t speak Polish, then how about Italian? 2K is on the hunt for an entry-level candidate with passion, who also has good problem-solving capacity. This is a classic QA/localization hybrid role and is a great first step on the path to a career in that sector, with a huge industry name.

Location: Liverpool, UK 🇬🇧
Level: Junior (1–2 years experience)

Location: Santa Monica, CA, USA 🇺🇸
Level: Junior (1–2 years experience)

It’s not every day that we post an opportunity to work on The Last of Us. This is another technical QA position, with either C++, C#, Python, Javascript, Node, or PHP coding experience being required to apply. A degree isn’t necessary, either, but great communication very much is.

Location: San Francisco, CA, USA 🇺🇸
Level: Intermediate (2–5 years experience)
Salary: $117,186–195,310 USD per year

Staying in California, Epic is seeking someone with two or more years of experience in scripting or object-oriented programming languages (Java, C++, C#, or Python). This is a role working on Fortnite and will partner closely with Epic’s UI, monetization, store, and quest teams.

Location: Ottawa, ON, Canada 🇨🇦
Level: Intermediate (2–5 years experience)

This is what we’d call a “pure” QA role, in that it is all about testing games and giving feedback. No scripting knowledge is required to apply, but you will need a couple of years of professional experience behind you. There are great benefits on offer here, and a “no-crunch” commitment.

Location: Bucharest, Romania 🇷🇴
Level: Intermediate (2–5 years experience)

Something a little different now, with the first and only hybrid QA/project management vacancy in this list. You won’t be actively engaged in quality assurance in this position, but you’ll be managing the folks who are testing Assassin’s Creed, Ghost Recon, and more.

“If detail is your strength and you have an investigative eye then this could be the job for you!” We can’t really say it better than King did, so we won’t. This position can be worked from either Stockholm or Barcelona, for a studio whose games are played by 245 million monthly active users!

Location: Belgrade, Serbia 🇷🇸 or Yerevan, Armenia 🇦🇲
Level: Intermediate (2–5 years experience)
Salary: Competitive

Sperasoft offers both financial relocation assistance and visa/work permit assistance, which opens this role up to people from all over the world. Don’t worry about the “Senior” in the title, either, as just three years of game QA experience is needed to apply, with at least one of those being as a lead!
