A technical position for a programmer working within and for the Quality Assurance in the Research and Development subdiscipline. Practical experience with programming languages is a pre-requisite for the position, and the ideal candidate will have a detailed knowledge of typical AAA QA workflows. The QA R&D Programmer will be expected to work in close conjunction with the full Tools-Programming team to develop and deploy new testing/development tools and automated test solutions to the studio.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with QA Test Teams to create, update and maintain a variety of tools. Including, but not limited to:

    • Bug Database flow/framework updates

    • Test Case flow/framework updates

    • Test Automation

    • Build delivery

    • Build running

    • In-game debug

  • Handle tool/engine modification requests from Naughty Dog programmers

  • Take user support requests & troubleshoot tools under the QA umbrella

  • Forward user support requests for studio wide tools to the appropriate Dev

  • Assist in the creation of training modules / documentation for tools under the QA umbrella

  • Continually seek optimizations, and ways to resolve pain points with tool use

Requirements & Skills:

  • A desire to be part of the Naughty Dog Team

  • Experience in one or more of C++, C#, Python, Javascript, Node, PHP

  • Visual Studio experience

  • Professional QA experience

  • Ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of technical and non-technical backgrounds

Bonus Skills:

  • A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or related training)

  • Prior experience at a video game studio or publisher

  • Working knowledge of PlayStation consoles

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$56,800—$85,200 USD
