Call of Duty Black Ops 6 dev build leaks online, revealing maps, weapons, and more
An in-development build of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has leaked online, resulting in a number of early gameplay videos, screenshots, and details appearing on social media.
The details:
The images and clips—which Activision has since removed via copyright claims—were uploaded to X late last week. The short videos featured a look at the game's selection of weapons, perks, and attachments through its gunsmith. It also gave fans their first look at some of its maps and the new "Omnimovement" system outside of the short official clips.
While the images have since been removed, a partial list of maps remains, some of which are reported to be remakes of previous Black Ops titles, such as the iconic Nuketown. Activision previously confirmed that BO6 would launch with 12 6v6 maps and four "Strike" maps for 2v2 or 6v6, but it is unclear which category the leaked maps belong to.
Following widespread criticism of the "Hulu-like" menus found in the previous two Modern Warfare releases, it appears that BO6 may feature an entirely new UI. Although these could be placeholder menus, it appears that the game is returning to the more classic, vertical-style UI found in past entries.
The leaker, who used a throwaway account to post the content, shared that despite gaining access to a multiplayer build, they were unable to obtain any campaign or Zombies-related details.
