Studio Wildcard has announced that the Xbox Series X/S version of Ark: Survival Ascended has been delayed just a day before its targeted release date due to its ongoing certification process.

The details:

  • The studio announced the delay on the game's official X account, stating that it will no longer be released on November 14 and will instead arrive by the end of the week. “Xbox and Windows Survivors, the game is still going through the certification process and will not be releasing on Tuesday,” the developer said. “We are expecting it to release it later this week, but, we'll update with a more precise time when we have it.”

  • Studio Wildcard previously confirmed that the PS5 version of the game would be released soon, though no date was given as the developer was still "finalizing" it with Sony. The Xbox and Windows versions, on the other hand, were set to launch today, with full crossplay with Steam players who had access since late last month.

  • Survival Ascended is a brand-new Unreal Engine 5 remake of Survival Evolved from 2017. When the game initially launched on Steam, it received mixed reviews due to a number of technical issues, including crashes, stuttering, and overall low frame rates on high-end hardware. The game is intended to keep players occupied until the delayed Ark 2 arrives in late 2024.
