Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Financial Planning Analyst / Financial Planning Manager – Process & Tools to own and manage our financial planning and reporting systems and day-to-day processes. 

In this role, you will work closely with Financial Planning, Accounting, IT, and business teams, ensuring our systems run smoothly and financial data is accurate, complete, and delivered on time. You will act as the main point of contact for system-related topics, troubleshooting issues, maintaining data integrity, and supporting users. 

This position is based in Paris and reports to the Senior Director, Financial Planning. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

You will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of financial planning, consolidation, and reporting systems and processes. Your focus will be on ensuring data quality, resolving issues quickly, and supporting core processes such as forecasting, intercompany rebilling, and month-end close. 

You will also play an active role in supporting global finance initiatives, working closely with other Financial Planning teams to adapt systems, data structures, and processes to a new organizational setup, ensuring consistency and alignment across regions. 

In addition, you will support incremental improvements and automation initiatives to make processes more efficient and user-friendly. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Act as the primary administrator and key user for financial planning, consolidation, and reporting tools 
  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot data load rules, business rules, and calculation scripts 
  • Ensure timely and accurate data loads (actuals and forecasts), including performing validation checks and resolving discrepancies 
  • Reconcile data between systems and ensure alignment with accounting standards and internal processes 
  • Support monthly forecast, budget, and month-end close cycles, ensuring systems are available and data is reliable 
  • Handle day-to-day system issues, user queries, and troubleshooting in a timely manner 
  • Maintain and update process documentation and provide hands-on training to users 
  • Support system updates, enhancements, and testing activities 
  • Implement targeted process improvements and automation to increase efficiency 
  • Support global finance initiatives by adapting financial systems, data structures, and processes 
  • Set up and manage the intercompany rebilling process, working closely with IT, consolidation, and accounting teams 
  • Run, support and monitor the intercompany rebilling cycles, ensuring accuracy and timely execution 
  • Manage and support one direct report 

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field 
  • Solid hands-on experience with financial planning or reporting systems (e.g., Hyperion Essbase, Oracle Planning) 
  • Experience working with financial data, reporting processes, and system administration 
  • Strong Excel skills; knowledge of SQL or scripting is a plus 
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail 
  • Ability to work with a high level of proactivity and autonomy in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, taking initiative to identify issues, propose solutions, and adapt quickly to changing priorities and organizational needs 
  • Ability to manage operational tasks, priorities, and deadlines in a structured way 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support non-technical users 
  • Fluency in English is required 
  • First experience in managing or coaching others
