About the Role:

We are looking for a Technical Lead to join our Frostbite Core Services ACE team, focused on developer efficiency & quality. Reporting directly to the Leader of Engine Development, you'll play a key role in defining the future of scalable development technologies used within Frostbite.

Your primary mission is to harness AI & Agentic tooling to supercharge developer efficiency and ensure top-tier quality engine for our game teams. This is a collaborative role where you'll engage other leaders across Frostbite aligning technology outcomes, identify risks, and help guide development & quality technology requirements with core stakeholders. What You'll Do

Technical leadership: Technical leadership for a cell-team building AI-driven, agentic workflows that accelerate developer productivity across all other Frostbite teams. 75% coding time is expected.
Architect Scalable AI Systems: Design and implement robust frameworks for AI agent orchestration, context management, and task automation—leveraging large language models (LLMs) and data-driven decision processes to streamline complex workflows.
Foster Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the Technical Director to partner with engineering, design, and product leaders to maintain architectural consistency, establish shared standards, and integrate AI solutions seamlessly into the broader ecosystem.
Explore and Evaluate Agentic Technologies: Prototype and rigorously assess emerging AI and agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT-inspired tools) to optimize development and integrations of Frostbite's highly complex tech-stack.
Mentor and Cultivate Excellence: Guide junior and senior engineers alike, promoting a culture of technical mastery, ethical AI practices, and an "automation-first" mindset that empowers teams to innovate faster.
Drive Tangible Outcomes: Measure and optimize for developer velocity, workflow reliability, and team satisfaction—delivering quantifiable wins that elevate the entire engineering organization.

What We're Looking For

Strong background in at least two of the following domains:
- Completed at least 2 large software projects: and at least one in a lead engineering position. AAA game development experience is a bonus.
- AI/ML: Direct hands-on experience or a demonstrated passion and aptitude for artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Software Quality Leadership: Proven success in elevating quality practices within large-scale development teams.
3+ years of experience in designing software systems optimized for high-quality delivery.
Expertise working with large C++ and/or C# code bases.
Strong background in Agile development and continuous delivery practices.
A minimum of 5 years in software development, with some experience leading multiple technical leads and projects concurrently within a distributed team.
