The release of a fan game titled "Where is my body?" inspired by the character Thing from The Addams Family series is an intriguing development in the world of fan-made games and intellectual property. Osvayder Games, based in Yerevan, Armenia, has invested considerable effort into this project, even producing a visually impressive gameplay trailer using Unreal Engine 5.

The trailer not only showcases the hand character, Thing, navigating eerie environments but also highlights the customization options available for players. These include choices for skin color, nails, and costume options for the hand character.

Originally, on the first release of the concept, the copyright holder MGM initially demanded the removal of all materials related to The Addams Family franchise. In an attempt to address the situation, Osvayder Games reached out to the rights holder in hopes of negotiating a partnership. However, despite their willingness to cooperate and respect copyright considerations, the negotiations did not result in a positive decision regarding the partnership. As a result, Osvayder Games removed their materials related to The Addams Family franchise.

The resurgence of The Addams Family's popularity, particularly with the Netflix series "Wednesday," underscores the enduring appeal of this franchise. This resurgence may have influenced the rights holder's decision to take more assertive action to protect their intellectual property.
