Starfield's next expansion could be titled "Starborn," trademark filing suggests
It has been spotted that Bethesda has filed a trademark for “Starborn,” which fans believe could be the game’s second expansion.
The details:
As spotted by X user Timur222, Bethesda registered the trademark with the US Patent and Trademark Office on July 12 for use in video game software.
Director Todd Howard previously stated that, despite the mixed reception of Starfield and Bethesda's shift to focusing on the next Elder Scrolls entry, the team will continue to work on future expansions for the game. The first DLC, Shattered Space, will be available later this year, and Howard stated that the studio was "planning for the one after this," which is likely tied to the trademark.
For those who don't know how "Starborn" relates to Starfield (spoilers ahead), the name refers to a group of mysterious humans who travel between universes once the player collects enough of the game's artifacts. It's possible that the expansion will reveal extra details about their origins and powers that were not explored in the base game.
