The Epic Games Store is reportedly giving away 17 different games during the holiday season, with the promotion starting today.

The details:

  • The promotion was revealed by reputable leaker billbil-kun on X, with the first of 17 titles available from later today to December 20. Each game will then be available to add to your library for free every couple of days, except the final title, which will be available between January 4 and January 10.

  • The first free game will reportedly be Destiny 2: Legacy Collection, which includes the expansions The Witch Queen, Beyond Light, and Shadowkeep, though players will still need to purchase the season pass to access any of the game's seasonal content.

  • Epic began giving away free games during the holiday period in 2019 with 12 releases, increasing to 15 in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Despite the success of the promotions over the years, Epic recently revealed that the store was still operating at a loss and began offering developers larger revenue cuts in exchange for exclusivity.
