Amazon opens new game studio in Romania, led by Ubisoft veteran
Amazon Games has announced the opening of a new studio in Bucharest, Romania, which will be led by a former Ubisoft director.

Amazon's new Bucharest studio is its first in Europe, following the opening of locations in the US and Canada, including Orange County, Montreal, San Diego, and Seattle. It will primarily support the company's current and future development projects, including the upcoming Tomb Raider game and new content for Lost Ark and New World.
Cristian Pana, former Ubisoft Bucharest managing director, will lead the studio. Pana has over 20 years of industry experience and has worked on a number of popular AAA titles and franchises, including Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, The Division, The Crew, and Far Cry.
The studio is currently hiring for a variety of art, programming, QA, design, and management positions across various experience levels, which can be found on Amazon's careers site.
