Join our talented team as we embark on an uncharted gaming adventure! We're on the lookout for a passionate Technical Game Designer to contribute their skills to our Dungeons & Dragons® PC/Console project. This innovative game will blend the features of Action-RPG / Survival with unique elements of life-simulation games to redefine the genre and capture the imaginations of players worldwide.

As a Technical Game Designer, you will support the team in the development and implementation of game systems. You will contribute to the creation of tools, mechanic prototyping, and content troubleshooting in collaboration with the other designers and programmers.

You will frequently perform a wide variety of concurrent tasks and complete them rigorously. Acting as a true communications channel for the team, you will bridge the gaps between the various professionals who work on a video game.

Relying on your mastery of development tools, you will actively contribute towards realizing the game's vision in addition to providing support to various team members.

This role is intended for a person who is curious, motivated, and eager to learn, who wants to perfect their technical skills to the next level in a creative and collaborative environment.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Support the design team in the integration and implementation of game systems under the supervision of the Lead  technical  game designer.
  • Participate troubleshoot  technical issues and flag those that require intervention from programmers.
  • Contribute to update and maintain resource databases and existing systems.
  • Work with the designers and programmers in order to define how features are implemented while respecting the existing  methodologies.
  • Test, document and improve internal tools according to the needs expressed by the team.
  • Participate in the evaluation of certain game mechanics or features by identifying problems and proposing solutions.
  • Write and share  training guides or notes to support your colleagues.
  • Plan and evaluate your work while keeping in mind time, quality and resource constraints.
  • Continue to develop your technical skills gradually in order to better translate the team's needs into concrete solutions.

About you:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience
  • Expertise in various scripting languages, such as C#, Lua, or Visual Scripting
  • Strong knowledge of the game engine Unity, another engine is a plus
