Game Operations Associate – Live Referee (Overnight Shift, 2AM–9AM EST)

1v1Me is building a real-time esports ecosystem where users stake on live competitive matches. Every match involves real money, real players, and real consequences.

This is live operations — not passive monitoring.

We are hiring individuals who can stay sharp during overnight hours, operate under pressure, and take full ownership of outcomes when most others are offline.

The Role

As a Game Operations Associate – Live Referee (Overnight), you are responsible for maintaining match integrity during off-peak hours.

You are the final line of defense between a fair match and a broken one — especially when support coverage is limited.

You will be:

• Verifying players and match conditions before every game

• Monitoring matches live in real time

• Making judgment calls on edge cases and disputes

• Scorekeeping with precision

• Communicating clearly and decisively with players

• Handling the majority of issues independently with minimal escalation

During this shift, you are expected to operate with a higher level of autonomy. Fewer resources are available — your judgment matters more.

If something goes wrong, you are expected to catch it, own it, and resolve it.

This Role Is NOT for You If:

• You struggle to stay focused and alert during overnight hours

• You need constant direction or supervision

• You hesitate to make decisions in real time

• You get overwhelmed handling multiple matches and conversations

• You are casually interested in gaming without deep understanding

This Role IS for You If:

• You perform well independently, especially during low-supervision hours

• You stay sharp, focused, and detail-oriented overnight

• You can manage multiple live matches and chats without losing accuracy

• You communicate clearly, directly, and confidently

• You stay calm when users are frustrated or confrontational

• You take pride in getting decisions right, not just fast

Game Knowledge (Strongly Preferred)

You should have real familiarity (not casual exposure) with at least one of:

• NBA 2K

• Madden

• FIFA / EA FC

• UFC

• Rocket League

• Call of Duty: Warzone

• Fall Guys

Non-Negotiable Requirements

We are specifically looking for candidates who:

• Can commit to 20+ hours per week, with potential to scale to 40

• Are available specifically for the 2AM–9AM EST overnight shift

• Have flexibility across weekdays and weekends

• Are comfortable working in a 7-day-per-week operation

• Have a reliable home setup:

  • Strong computer

  • Stable internet

  • Consistent power

• Experience in esports, live ops, or real-time moderation

• Strong analytical thinking or technical background

• High attention to detail and personal accountability

• Proven ability to operate independently without oversight

Compensation

$22 per hour

Final Note

This shift is different.

It requires discipline, focus, and the ability to operate without hand-holding. When issues happen overnight, there’s no room for hesitation.
