Join our talented team as we embark on an uncharted gaming adventure! We're on the lookout for a Senior Level Designer to contribute their skills to our Dungeons & Dragons® PC/console project. This innovative game will blend action-RPG/survival features with the unique elements of life-simulation games to redefine the genre and capture the imaginations of players worldwide.

We are seeking a Senior Level Designer who specializes in creating worlds for a team that is currently starting a new project. In your capacity as a team member, you must collaborate closely with the project's Lead Level Designer to lay out the game world and establish the basic guidelines governing level design for the game.

Main Tasks

  • Work closely with the Lead Level Designer to design and develop exceptional game environments that capture the magic and essence of the game world
  • Leverage your expertise to create an engaging world, stimulating locations and unique challenges that encourage players to explore
  • Define best practices for Level Designers to establish high-quality standards and foster creativity
  • As a mentor, supervise and guide the less-experienced members of the team by sharing your knowledge and expertise to support their professional development
  • Dynamically manage task priorities for a project in its early stages and thus demonstrate your ability to grow efficiently in an evolving work environment
  • Apply your leadership skills to ensure frictionless coordination and maintain a high level of quality throughout production

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years' professional experience in level design
  • Experience in open-world game design
  • Excellent knowledge of the game market
  • Good communication, with an interest in professional support and leadership
  • At least one title published on console/PC while in a level-design role
  • Diploma of college studies in one of the following: computer science, multimedia, graphic design, video games, or equivalent
  • English-French bilingualism is an asset
  • Considerable experience with multimedia software (Office, Adobe, Atlassian)

Skills and Profile

  • Able to work in Agile mode, not afraid of failure, and able to bounce back quickly, if necessary
  • Experience in architecture is an asset
  • Able to make decisions in a complex environment
  • Open-minded and empathetic
  • Able to take on a leadership role while maintaining an operational role on the project
  • Passion for video games and their history
  • Ability to present one's ideas (verbally and in writing)
  • Enjoy teamwork
  • A big imagination!
