Overview

FC Mother is a social impact game built on football's global infrastructure. Developed in collaboration with Harvard and partnered with FIFA World Cup 2026, it turns the world's largest fandom — 6 billion football fans — into a distribution engine for social health support delivered to Mothers worldwide.

The core mechanic is the Assist: a structured social support action that a fan completes for a Mother. Assists are earned, tracked, and collected. They drive leaderboards, unlock rewards, and generate measurable health outcomes — 100 assists per Mother led to 3 healthier Life Years added per family during our published trial with the Pelé Foundation and Flamengo.

This is a live platform with 18 global football partnerships, a FIFA World Cup 2026 Host City exclusive, and a 10-year distribution deal scaling to 400 football clubs by 2034. The architecture is built. The game needs its lead.

Your mission is to embed our platform into gaming culture. You will own game development, GTM strategy, business development, and partnership execution across football-based games, streaming platforms, and crowdfunding platforms. This role requires deep game design expertise, strong executive leadership, an extensive network in the gaming industry, and a genuine passion for football. You will work directly with the founding team. The ideal candidate has shipped a large-scale game with a global audience, thrives in a fast-paced founding environment, and brings a proven track record of building games that millions of people play.


What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the design, production, and scaling of the FC Mother game — collectible card mechanics, behavior change psychology, and football culture at global scale
  • Develop and implement the go-to-market strategy across Brazil, Mexico, US, and global markets, timed to the 2026 and 2027 FIFA World Cups
  • Build and lead the game development team — engineering, design, art, QA
  • Conclude and scale multiple partnerships across the gaming ecosystem: football-based games, streaming platforms, and crowdfunding platforms for our impact initiative
  • Design the core game loop: Assist actions, card generation, collection mechanics, rarity systems, leaderboards, streaks, social sharing, and viral distribution
  • Architect engagement systems that make daily participation habitual — borrowing from fantasy sports, trading card culture, and mobile gaming
  • Own growth metrics: DAU, MAU, retention, viral coefficient, share rate, and new user acquisition through organic card sharing
  • Drive and track quarterly business performance across all partnership and growth targets

What we need to see:

  • 10+ years in game development and go-to-market. No exceptions.
  • Shipped at least one large-scale game with a global audience (millions of players, multiple countries). Name it. Tell us your role in making it happen.
  • VP, Executive Producer, Studio Head, or equivalent leadership at a recognized game studio or publisher. You've led teams, managed production, and made ship-or-kill decisions.
  • Deep understanding of game mechanics, player psychology, and production pipelines. You know what makes a game addictive. You know what makes a game ship on time. You know the difference.
  • Extensive rolodex in gaming with ability to do fast, scalable partnerships across football-based games, streaming platforms, and crowdfunding platforms simultaneously. Your ability to pick up the phone and close is the job.
  • Demonstrated GTM experience. You've launched a game — not just built it. You've owned user acquisition, community building, and growth from zero to millions.
  • Passion for football. Not as a market opportunity. As a fan. You understand what it means when 3 billion people watch the World Cup final.
  • Proven experience building and scaling partnerships across multiple games and platforms with a consistent track record of execution.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • You've worked at the intersection of gaming and football — EA Sports, Konami, Football Manager, or similar
  • You've built viral or social mechanics that drove organic growth at scale (collectibles, sharing loops, referral systems)
  • You have direct relationships with streaming platforms (Twitch, YouTube Gaming, Kick) and crowdfunding platforms (Tiltify, Kickstarter)
  • Concrete examples of partnerships you closed that drove measurable growth — not decks you presented, deals you signed
  • Experience in social impact, health tech, or purpose-driven products in addition to commercial gaming
  • Founder energy. You don't need to be told what to build. You tell us.
