Overview
FC Mother is a social impact game built on football's global infrastructure. Developed in collaboration with Harvard and partnered with FIFA World Cup 2026, it turns the world's largest fandom — 6 billion football fans — into a distribution engine for social health support delivered to Mothers worldwide.
The core mechanic is the Assist: a structured social support action that a fan completes for a Mother. Assists are earned, tracked, and collected as cards with holographic animations, rarity tiers, and player-associated editions. They drive leaderboards, unlock rewards, and generate measurable health outcomes — 100 assists per Mother led to 3 healthier Life Years added per family during our published trial with the Pelé Foundation and Flamengo.
We have 18 global football partnerships, a FIFA World Cup 2026 Host City exclusive with 600M fan reach, and a 10-year distribution deal scaling to 400 football clubs by 2034. The platform is live. Now we need someone to embed it into gaming culture.
Your mission is to build the partnership bridge between FC Mother and the gaming world — streamers, game studios, crowdfunding platforms, and the communities around them. You are not managing partnerships from a spreadsheet. You are in Discord servers, on Twitch streams, in DMs with creators, and on calls with game studio biz dev leads — every day — finding ways to make FC Mother part of gaming culture.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and execute a partnership strategy to embed FC Mother across gaming, streaming, and crowdfunding ecosystems
- Close partnerships with football-based games (EA FC, Football Manager, eFootball, and others) to create cross-platform campaigns — Assists on FC Mother unlock special items, badges, or rewards in-game
- Build relationships with streamers and gaming creators to launch competitions around Assists, referrals, and leaderboard challenges — streamer vs. streamer, community vs. community
- Partner with streaming platforms (Twitch, YouTube Gaming, Kick) to activate crowdfunding streams and charity events powered by FC Mother's Assist mechanic
- Work with crowdfunding platforms (Tiltify, Kickstarter, GoFundMe) to integrate FC Mother campaigns into gaming fundraising culture
- Identify and activate esports organizations, gaming influencers, and content creators who align with FC Mother's mission and football culture
- Design co-branded campaigns where gaming communities compete on Assist leaderboards — clans, guilds, fan groups, streamer audiences
- Negotiate and structure partnership deals — revenue share, co-marketing, platform integrations, API access, in-game item collaborations
- Track and report on partnership performance — new users acquired, Assists generated, viral coefficient from gaming channels, conversion from streams to platform signups
What we need to see:
- 5+ years in business development, partnerships, or community management within the gaming industry. You've been in this world. You know the players.
- Proven track record of closing partnerships with game studios, streaming platforms, or gaming creators that drove measurable results — downloads, signups, revenue, engagement.
- Deep, current relationships across the gaming ecosystem. Streamers, studio biz dev leads, platform partners, esports orgs. You don't need to "build a network" — you already have one.
- Native understanding of gaming culture. You know why someone donates $500 during a charity stream. You know how raid trains work. You understand why a limited-edition in-game skin drives more engagement than a billboard. You live in this world.
- Experience activating gaming communities for campaigns, launches, or causes — not just sponsorship logos on a stream overlay, but real activations that got communities to do something.
- Demonstrated ability to move fast and manage multiple partnership conversations simultaneously. This is not one deal at a time. This is 20 conversations across studios, streamers, and platforms — all moving.
- Strong understanding of the football gaming ecosystem specifically — EA FC, Football Manager, eFootball, FIFA esports, and the communities around them.
- Comfortable working in a startup environment with founding-team energy. No playbook. No templates. You figure it out.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- You've organized or activated charity/fundraising streams that raised real money and moved real communities
- You have direct relationships with streamers who have 50K+ concurrent viewers
- You've brokered a cross-platform collaboration between a game studio and an external brand or cause — and it actually worked
- You understand crowdfunding mechanics and have worked with Tiltify, Extra Life, or similar platforms
- You speak the language of both gaming culture and business — you can pitch a VP of Partnerships at EA and then jump on a Discord call with a streamer's manager without switching personas
- You're a football fan. You play EA FC or Football Manager. You watch the World Cup. This isn't just a job — it's your world colliding.
- You've worked in or around social impact, cause marketing, or purpose-driven brands — and you know how to make impact cool, not cringe
