Awesome news! We have returned to our studio!
The QA Tester Role:
Quality Assurance Testers ("QA Testers") perform an important role in game development: testing, analyzing, and recording, any flaws or "bugs." These refinements lead to higher quality and better playability of the finished game.
QA Tester Responsibilities:
QA Testers are issue seekers and verify the quality in the final product. You must know how to categorize bugs. You must understand production and marketing schedules. You will use a software quality management system to document your findings into a centralized database which is then shared with other EA QA groups worldwide. You will typically work in teams. You will need to anticipate different ways the game will be played by people around the world, and test accordingly. You will test the game in a systematic way, analyzing the game's performance against the designer's intentions.
The next great QA Tester:
You will have a basic understanding of game design, how games are created, and how the different elements of a game contribute to the playing experience. You will not only identify and record a problem, but also try to work out what is causing it.
Above all, as a QA Testers, we prefer that you are avid players. You can demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the industry, including different platforms, game styles, and genres. It's important to know the market so they can evaluate our games against the competition and help improve the games we work on here at EABR.
