At Blizzard, great production creates the space for great games.

We’re seeking a senior, centralized production strategy leader to strengthen how we plan and deliver across our portfolio of games. This role sits alongside our franchise and production leaders, acting as a force multiplier for teams navigating the complexities of game development at scale.

You’ll help teams deliver with greater confidence, agility, and quality—bringing an experienced production lens to how they plan, operate, and evolve. You’ll help surface risks earlier, elevate production craft, and unlock shared learning across the discipline.

What You’ll Do

Partner Across Studios

  • Build trusted relationships with production leaders to understand how teams plan, execute, and make decisions
  • Connect what you see across teams, highlighting strengths, surfacing gaps, and identifying where alignment would improve outcomes
  • Serve as a thought partner to leadership on production health, maturity, and emerging risks

Strengthen Production Excellence

  • Establish shared, scalable production standards, language, and expectations
  • Elevate planning, delivery, and ways of working across a range of development models
  • Assess how team structures and operating rhythms evolve over time, helping teams stay effective as complexity grows

Assess Milestones & Risk

  • Evaluate major milestones and Greenlight reviews to determine delivery confidence and key risks
  • Pressure-test scope, schedules, and resourcing with teams to ensure plans are grounded and actionable
  • Provide leadership with clear, early visibility into portfolio-level tradeoffs and emerging issues

Lead Deep Dives & Interventions

  • Lead focused deep dives into high-risk or off-track initiatives to identify root causes
  • Step in with hands-on production leadership where additional support can improve outcomes
  • Turn insights into clear recommendations and ensure follow-through with teams

Build Community & Craft

  • Strengthen the Production discipline through shared learning, mentorship, and connection
  • Capture and scale lessons learned to improve how Blizzard builds games over time

Required Qualifications

  • 18+ years of experience in game production, program leadership, or production operations, with a track record leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Significant senior leadership experience operating across a portfolio or multi-team environment, with broad visibility into delivery, dependencies, and outcomes
  • Deep expertise in production craft, with a track record of establishing scalable approaches that improve how teams plan and deliver
  • Strong judgment in production strategy and execution, including experience representing work in executive forums, Greenlight reviews, and portfolio governance
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to translate complex realities into clear decisions and actions
  • Track record of building discipline capability and culture over time, including shared learning, mentorship, or craft development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating at the studio, franchise, or enterprise level across multiple products or business units
  • Strong understanding of modern game development models (e.g., AAA, live service, co-development)
  • Experience working across global studios or external partners in distributed environments
