The Role

As a Game Operations Associate – Live Referee, you are responsible for the integrity of live matches on the platform.

You are the final line of defense between a fair match and a broken one.

You will be:

• Verifying players and match conditions before every game

• Monitoring matches live in real time

• Making judgment calls on edge cases and disputes

• Scorekeeping with precision

• Communicating clearly and decisively with players

• Escalating only when necessary — most problems should be handled by you

If something goes wrong, you are expected to catch it, own it, and resolve it.

• You get overwhelmed handling multiple conversations at once

• You are casually interested in gaming but lack deep knowledge

• You stay calm when users are frustrated or confrontational

• You have a deep understanding of competitive gaming mechanics

Game Knowledge (Strongly Preferred)

You should have real familiarity (not casual exposure) with at least one of:

• NBA 2K

• Madden

• FIFA / EA FC

• UFC

• Rocket League

• Call of Duty: Warzone

• Fall Guys

Non-Negotiable Requirements

We are specifically looking for candidates who:

• Can commit to at least 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to scale to 40 hours based on performance

• Have full schedule flexibility, including:

  • Day shifts

  • Night shifts

  • Weekends

• Are comfortable working in a 7-day-per-week operation

• Have a reliable home setup:

  • Strong computer

  • Stable internet

  • Consistent power

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience in esports, live ops, or real-time moderation

• Strong analytical thinking or technical background

• Extremely detail-oriented with a high level of personal accountability

Compensation

• $19 per hour

This role is about consistency, judgment, and ownership.
