Indie developer duo FROGMAN has revealed their latest project, "DEEP STATE", a first-person shooter game that draws inspiration from classic titles such as Goldeneye 007, Deus Ex, and Resident Evil. Currently in its pre-alpha stage, DEEP STATE is being crafted using Adobe Photoshop, Unity, and Blender.

Players will step into the shoes of ex-CIA operative Rex Cutter, a trained killer turned family man whose world is turned upside down when he learns that his former partner, presumed dead, has been detected in the United States.

As Rex delves deeper into this mystery, he finds himself in a lethal confrontation with a shadowy organization linked to a top-secret black project and mysterious entities from another world.

DEEP STATE promises an immersive gameplay experience, offering players a variety of modern weapons to neutralize targets, critical intel to uncover the truth, and multiple ways to reach objectives within a large, exploratory level.

The game will also feature a range of high and low-tech tools to aid players in their mission. However, it's important to note that as a pre-alpha demo, "Deep State" will contain jank, bugs, missing features, placeholder assets, and sound effects. All aspects of the game, including its title, are subject to change as development progresses.

FROGMAN—soon to be a trio—currently consists of two individuals who have developed DEEP STATE in their spare time over the past two years.

The pre-alpha demo is now available to download and you can keep up with the game's progress by following its X account.
