Indielabs Games

Indielab Games has opened applications for its 2024 accelerator program, which will provide tools and training to help 10 to 15 small to medium-sized studios in the UK grow.

The details:

  • The program will include three months of masterclasses from Indielab on topics such as growth planning, team and company culture building, marketing, and how to pitch your projects to publishers in order to form successful working relationships.

  • Two in-person workshops will be held in Newport on May 21 and 22, followed by a series of online workshops from June 4 to 27, and two additional in-person sessions in Brighton on July 8 and 9.

  • By the end of the program, studios will be equipped with a future growth plan, a refined pitch and pitch deck aimed at publishers, and a playable intended for pitches. Companies will also have the opportunity to raise funds at an exclusive closed publisher pitch event on July 9th at Unity's headquarters with ID@Xbox, Chucklefish, Raw Fury, and Secret Mode among its attendees.

  • Additional networking events will be held throughout the program, including Indielab's own event, Indielab Games & Unity TALKS, which will allow attendees to hear more from notable developers.

  • Companies applying must meet the criteria to participate in the program, and there is a fee of Β£2,750 (excluding VAT) per company, which covers the costs of two employees. Applicants who apply before March 8 will also be entitled to a discounted price of Β£2,500. Additional information can be found in the program's FAQ section.

Where to apply:

  • The program is currently open to game companies in the British Isles, with bursary places available for those in Scotland and Wales. Applications close on April 9th, and any interested studios can apply via the Indielab website.
