Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is reportedly receiving a remake
It has been claimed that Starbreezeโs 2013 adventure title Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is receiving a remake and will be announced at The Game Awards.
The details:
According to reputable dataminer billbil-kun, the remake will be revealed tomorrow at The Game Awards. The title is said to be published by 505 Games, though its developer and release date are currently unknown.
Brothers quickly became an indie hit, with its touching story about two brothers searching for a cure for their dying father. Its gameplay was also well received, with players solving puzzles, fighting enemies, and exploring in both single player and co-op modes while controlling both characters individually.
Developer Starbreeze Studios, which also created the Payday series, sold the IP rights to 505 Games in 2015 for $500,000, stating that it would be "best nurtured under a new owner." Since then, it has been ported to a variety of platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Amazon Luna.
