Assassin's Creed Codename Red has finally received an official title, Assassin's Creed Shadows, with a reveal scheduled for later this week. However, it appears that the release date and DLC plans may have been leaked prior to the event.

The details:

  • Ubisoft has announced that AC Shadow will be revealed during a livestream on May 15 at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST, giving fans their first look at the feudal Japan setting. The trailer will be cinematic, so we may have to wait a little longer to see the gameplay.

  • Shortly after the announcement, fans discovered that the trailer's description on Ubisoft's official YouTube channels included the release date of November 15, 2024, which was later removed. This lines up with the publisher's previous announcement that the game would be released before the end of March 2025.

  • Dataminer Frax, who revealed the game's title before the official announcement, claims that the season pass will cost $40 and grant access to an exclusive questline called "Origami Killer." Expansions will also cost $25 individually, and those who pre-order will receive content titled "Thrown to the Dogs," which could include a quest or items.
