Intern Level Design
Under direct supervision of the Level Designer, the Level Design intern works within the Design team to create world geometry and build levels within the games we are working on. You will be trained as you work on active projects and be expected to apply what you learn in an effective and efficient manner. You are expected to aspire to maintain high levels of quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivering excellence
Work on level design concepts and effectively implement them.
Visualize and conceive level design elements that contribute to the overall playability of the level.
Meets deadlines and contributes effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Works efficiently and effectively within technical constraints of a production.
Communication
Coordinate with Game Director on current tasks and deliverables.
Schedule own time as wisely, notify Producers and Game Director in advance of upcoming roadblocks and challenges.
Team and personal development
Continually refines personal design abilities and increases knowledge of new level design methodologies, techniques, and tools.
Requirements
Some game engine experience (such as Unity3D and Unreal)
Experience working within a group/team
Good verbal and written communications skills (English); able to understand and converse design terminology effectively.
Enjoys playing and making games
Energetic and open to new learning experiences
Self-motivated and actively exploring the tools of the industry.
Strong sense of accountability and ownership
