Responsibilities:

  • Working with Designers, Artists, and Engineers to create stunning effects and immersive visuals

  • Creation of real time particle systems and shaders via proprietary software

  • Texture creation for particle systems and shaders

  • Simple modeling of objects needed for believable effects

  • Performance optimization

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience of creating visual effects for mobile games

  • Experience on at least one production as a FX Artist

  • Demonstrable experience of creating efficient realtime visual effects using the UE4 Cascade / UE5 Niagara / Unity

  • Demonstrable ability to understand and create texture maps

  • Demonstrable understanding of 3D asset creation

  • Experience in Photoshop

  • Experience of relevant 3D art & animation packages – Blender / Maya / 3D Max

  • Understanding of shaders and textures

  • Ability to accept feedback, and responds to criticism positively

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic

  • Video game enthusiast

  • Demonstrate visual-effects abilities Would be a plus:

  • Creativity, artistic vision, attention to detail, and strong project engagement

  • Commercial experience with the Niagara particle system, experience in Scalability settings and Niagara optimization, as well as the creation and animation of materials/shaders

  • Knowledge and experience in simulations with Houdini or Embergen

  • Positive attitude towards receiving feedback and sharing knowledge
