Day in the life of a Social Media Manager:

As our Social Media Manager, you'll be the driving force behind shaping our brand's online presence. You will craft and own the development of social media strategies that align seamlessly with our broader marketing objectives, collaborate closely with product management and development teams to provide expert guidance on tailored social media strategies for individual titles.

As a key player, you'll take charge of paid social media campaigns, from audience targeting to insightful reporting. Lead content curation, ensuring the delivery aligns perfectly with our brand guidelines. Work hand-in-hand with the community team, delegating and scheduling additional social content as needed. Develop and implement KPIs to measure and monitor the success of our campaigns, leading the charge in their evaluation and reporting.

Bring your creativity to the forefront as you provide thought leadership to drive audience growth. Stay ahead of the curve in social media trends, positioning Secret Mode as an industry leader. Build lasting relationships with key stakeholders and external partners across all departments. Please note that this role is anything but ordinary – it's dynamic, impactful, and non-exhaustive, with potential for additional responsibilities based on evolving business priorities. Please note, this is a hybrid role that will require you to work from our studio in Leamington on a weekly basis.

What you need to do this job:

  • Social media management experience within the video game or entertainment industries

  • Proven experience utilising social media management tools

  • Excellent copywriting skills, editing skills, and attention to detail

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • A passion for games and a knowledge of gaming culture and marketing trends

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and responsibility for campaign and content planning from creation through to execution

The Interview Process:

At Secret Mode, we take a holistic and engaging interview process that allows us to get to know you, your skills and your potential. For the Social Media Manager role, we have a two stage interview process:

1st Stage: One hour with our Director of PR & Communications. Here, we will talk with you about your experience, our expectations in the role and ask some competency based questions. There will, of course, be opportunities for you to ask questions!

Task: We will potentially ask for you to complete a task for the Social Media Manager role, a chance for you to show off your skills! If we do give you an activity, you will have a week to complete it.

2nd Stage: One hour with the Studio Marketing Director and Vice President of Secret Mode. This is a chance for us to discuss further technical aspects of the role and for you to meet some of the leadership team here at Secret Mode.
