Phoenix Labs is looking for a data-focused individual to help us make thoughtful use of the information we gather to delight our players. As a Live Marketing Manager, you will analyze data to inform and drive marketing strategies, optimize live operations, and enhance player engagement. You will work closely with both development and publishing teams to expand the performance and potential of Dauntless ensuring that our live ops initiatives are impactful and aligned with our overall product strategy. This is a role which involves both strategy, execution & implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement, monetization and retention.

  • Oversee the marketing and commercial component of live operations for Dauntless, including planning and executing in-game events, updates, and promotions.

  • Support Head of Brand and Marketing Director as required on Fae Farm.

  • Collaborate with the product team to align marketing efforts with game features and updates.

  • Analyze marketing and in-game data to optimize campaigns, improve ROI, and inform product decisions.

  • Manage owned channels and create content that resonates with our target audience.

  • Coordinate with external agencies and partners to execute marketing and live ops campaigns.

  • Monitor player feedback and community engagement to enhance the player experience, translating insights back into the game development process to create a continuous improvement feedback loop.

  • Conduct market research and analyze player data to inform product decisions.

  • Monitor and analyze in-game metrics to ensure the success of live ops initiatives.

  • Define and execute the product roadmap in collaboration with the development team.

  • Develop and execute data-driven CRM strategies to maximize player engagement, retention, and lifetime value, including targeted messaging for specific player segments and cohorts.

  • Own the operational part of retention and monetization campaigns including determining and detailing the campaign plan

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, live operations, or product management in the games industry.

  • Experience on GaaS/F2P title’s.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in marketing and data analytics tools.

  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.

  • Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of gaming culture and market trends.

  • Experience working with creative marketing teams to deliver creative assets.

  • Experience collaborating with game development teams to build lifecycle campaigns with higher effect on player engagement/monetization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data analytics tools and A/B testing.

  • Familiar with website CMS and with CRM systems.

  • PC, Console and Mobile experience.

Pay Transparency

Phoenix Labs believes in pay equity and we welcome conversations with candidates on how their salary expectations align with our established ranges. As you progress through the interview process, it may be determined that your experience might align better with a higher/lower level of position than you originally applied for and, should that happen, we will discuss the new pay range with you before moving forward with additional interviews or an offer.

Phoenix Labs covers the cost of basic medical for employees and their dependents, in addition to offering generous Dental and Paramedical Services. For 2023, we match employees' contributions to their RRSP up to 5% of their salaries. We provide employees with a flexible vacation plan, all the Provincial Statutory holidays, and unlimited sick time.

Canada Pay Range

$110,000—$180,000 CAD
