One of the biggest MMORPG launches in the West is landing this year, and we want a French-native Community Manager to own its French-speaking community from day one.
Your saga would take flight with Aion 2! You'd join NC's Berlin publishing team ahead of this major Western release. This is a hands-on role for someone who lives and breathes online games and knows how to build a real, engaged community from the ground up. Our portfolio is growing, so there's room to extend your work across other AAA titles over time.
Why this role is different: global strategy is set centrally, but how it lands in French (tone, content, creators, community calls) is yours. You're the FR expert in the room, not one seat in a 50-person team. And you join for a full launch, not just live ops.
What you'll do
Community and content
Own the French community across Discord, social channels and forums (Steam and community boards where relevant).
Create and publish FR-native content that fits the brand and each campaign beat, adapted to every platform's best practices.
Adapt global messaging so it genuinely lands in France, Belgium and beyond, with cultural nuance, clarity and timing.
Feedback and reporting
Run clean feedback loops: track sentiment, spot issues and narratives early, keep FAQs current.
Turn all of it into clear recommendations for the team, backed by the numbers that matter (sentiment, engagement, reach).
Creators and events
Support creator and community initiatives: outreach, collabs, challenges, giveaways.
Step in front of the camera for key moments (seasonal releases, creator collabs, events). No constant hosting, mostly highlights - live or prerecorded.
Bring that energy to live events on-site: engage with players at gaming shows and conventions, pitch your own activity or event ideas, find ways to capture feedback and spark online conversation.
What we're looking for
Native-level French and excellent professional English.
5+ years in gaming community management, with real ownership of player-facing communications.
Strong fluency across Discord and short-form community formats, plus the tooling behind it (social management, analytics).
Hands-on experience with live-service online titles: MMORPG, multiplayer action or other GaaS strongly preferred.
Experience inside a publisher with a regional setup, or another complex cross-functional environment.
Comfortable with escalations, service issues and reactive comments, with the judgment to filter and respond well.
Confident representing a brand publicly, with strong stakeholder communication skills.
Bonus: experience across multiple titles, major live beats, or regional and global community operations.
Where and how you'll work
Based in Berlin, hybrid, around 3 days a week in the office.
Open to relocation: already here or happy to move to Germany, we'll support you.
Some EU travel for events and key live moments.
A small, multinational publishing team where collaboration matters and your work gets seen.
Start date: July or August 2026.
