Overview

On the Microsoft Gaming team, we aspire to extend the joy and community of gaming to everyone on the planet. The Gaming Marketing team is looking for a 3rd Party Partner Marketer with a passion for the gaming business. The 3rd Party team works with external game publishers to create worldwide integrated marketing strategies designed to delight fans, and drive success and brand affinity for partner games and the Xbox gaming ecosystem.

As Director, Xbox Partner Marketing, you will oversee a team to develop, execute, and optimize integrated global marketing strategies supporting multiple global gaming partners. The ideal candidate will have experience and insight in the gaming industry, and will demonstrate an ability to think strategically and analytically about the business and competitive landscape, as well as create programs that provide mutual benefit to Xbox, our partners, and gamers. You will showcase excellence in marketing integration, category insight, partner management, and relationship building.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years people management experience driving impact, providing support, and creating growth opportunities for your team

  • 7+ years product or partner marketing experience, including experience in the games industry.

  • Experience developing and executing impactful, creative, breakthrough marketing campaigns.

  • Capable of cultivating healthy, productive relationships with both internal and external partners. Able to drive impact via finesse and collaboration.

  • Best in class multilingual communication skills, including organization, conversation, presentation, and negotiation capabilities. Fluency in both Japanese and English, specifically including business and marketing terminology is required. Additional relevant languages are appreciated but not required.

  • Self-motivated to learn, grow, and keep trying new things.

  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA with a focus on business, marketing, or communications or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Xbox Marketing relationships with partners across Asia Pacific, including Japan, China, Korea, and more.

  • Cultivate high-value internal and external partner relationships by representing the global marketing needs of Xbox to ensure partnerships and business agreements are mutually beneficial.

  • Partner with key stakeholders in the global and regional Xbox marketing and business teams to drive alignment on strategy for regional and global success and execute against business goals and objectives.

  • Deliver fully integrated campaigns to promote title and partner success across key metrics like users, usage, and monetization, as well as partner and customer satisfaction.

  • Manage special marketing projects to highlight Xbox platform priorities. Where applicable, integrate and support key Xbox gaming initiatives like Game Pass, cloud streaming, and more.

  • Execute and build upon global 3rd party games marketing “best practices” to deliver best in class Xbox marketing.

  • Work seamlessly across time-zones, managing your team, as well as leading or participating in virtual teams situated around the world.
