We are building a PC-only, solo-first 3rd-person Action PvE game in Unreal Engine focused on combat encounters + boss fights and high polish.
We use purchased assets (Fab/Quixel/KitBash/mocap packs) as a base, then EDIT/IMPROVE/UNIFY them into a cohesive, original-feeling game (not an asset dump).
ROLE: Lead Gameplay Engineer / Technical Director (Unreal C++ + Blueprints)
You will own:
- Core gameplay architecture and engineering standards
- Combat feel systems (input/controller support, movement/combat framework, timing windows)
- Gameplay foundations (abilities framework, damage/events, save/run flow)
- Integration ownership (animation hooks, VFX hooks, UI hooks, audio triggers, Sequencer triggers/skip/state)
- Performance discipline + profiling/optimization support
