Translator & Interpreter

Work Description

• Interpretation and translation in Japanese and English

  • Interpreting/translating in internal meetings and/or with companies overseas

  • Supporting communication for staff members who don't speak Japanese or don't speak English

• Providing various support for overseas staff who are relocating to Japan

Requirements

• Native level Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N1 required)

• Experience as an interpreter, translator, or a similar role

• Japanese and English bilingual communication skills (oral and written)

• Interest and enthusiasm for games or the entertainment industry

• Someone with a hospitality mindset and enjoys helping others

• Understanding of cultural sensitivity and ability to work well amongst people with diverse cultural backgrounds

• Ability to communicate actively and not be afraid to speak in front of people

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with foreign nationals

• Past experience in the gaming or entertainment industry

• Experience supporting people in relocating from overseas
