Dependent on Experience: Total Project Fee of ÂŁ4,590-ÂŁ5,670 [equivalent of ÂŁ170-210 per day] payable monthly

Bonus: Included but details subject to discussion

The Esports Radar is the flagship brand, dedicated to the esports industry, but all modern media and event brand launches under TiG will provide engaging news coverage, opinion, information, interviews and deepdives. In the media space our mission is to deliver trusted, quality multimedia journalism and entertainment, and bring value to the sectors in which we operate. 

Playmakers is a commercial agency focused on brand strategy and execution around gaming, esports and sports, alongside talent management.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced, detail oriented, communicative and ambitious Project Manager to join the GSE Group for a fixed term contract. This will include supporting the successful delivery of two projects, as follows.

With Esports Leaders London in October we’re on the lookout for a Project Manager to play a central role in the further development, delivery and management of this event.

This includes accountability for the event’s planning and execution, supplier management and comms, event profitability, guest and sponsor outreach, and maintaining a high level of client/attendee satisfaction. With full P&L oversight, the Project Manager will deliver a quality event to budget and spec, while working closely with the CEO, COO, Design and wider teams and partners to drive both the revenue required for it to be a success, and ensuring the event experience for all guests goes above & beyond expectations. 

With a demonstrable track record in project management, you should have a strong understanding of the role and value of events in supporting lead generation and sales optimisation. Your knowledge of and interest in the latest event trends, tools and innovations will be critical to success.

New Membership / Club Launch - Supporting a new GSE product in the works; a sports based membership club initiative. The role will include market research for pricing & inclusions, analysis of competitors & the potential for future growth, support, marketing plan for launch, supporting first editions in 2025 (including London alongside Esports Leaders), and a look into how it integrates with our other offerings/products & services across GSE, and what partners we need for it.

Whilst this specific role is fixed duration, there are opportunities to explore ongoing positions beyond this with the business for the right individual, with a lot more planned and in the pipeline across GSE.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Successful delivery of the B2B esports event in October (~120 attendees)

  • Budget development and tracking of spend and key deliverables for the event

  • Sourcing, selection and negotiation with suppliers (including event venues)

  • Supplier and venue(s) relationship management throughout event stages, planning, execution & post 

  • Customer success: support sponsor account relationships from the point of closed sale to ensure clients receive value and have high levels of satisfaction, driving renewals for future events 

  • P&L oversight across all events, ensuring delivery on both revenue and costs to budget 

  • Supporting on guest (attendee) and sponsor / partner direct outreach 

  • Supporting on defining the overall event positioning  and aligning all elements of the event with that positioning – ensuring content plan, design plan, etc all support the agreed positioning

  • Key Performance Indicators 

    • Adherence to budget & profitability of Esports Leaders London

    • Client satisfaction at Esports Leaders London - net promoter score across the event (sponsors and guests)

    • Success of New Membership / Club Launch - quality of 

ABOUT YOU

Required

  • Event management experience, planning and running small / medium sized b2b events 

  • Strong knowledge of and real interest in the utilisation of AI tools to enhance efficiency and execution across all facets of role, from research and analysis, to product enhancement (e.g. event experience), budget, audience assessment & targeting, outreach and more 

  • Supplier management experience, delivering consistently and on budget

  • Ability to work efficiently in a structured way, prioritising a wide range of tasks, with knowledge of project management platforms including Monday 

  • Communicative, friendly & with a positive mindset 

  • Ability to manage client communications and ensure deliverables meet and exceed expectations

  • Results driven, productive, commercially astute and creative

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Exceptional project management skills, ability to manage multiple timelines, deadlines, budgets, and actions in a collaborative extremely fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in a remote or hybrid work environment and a self-starter 

  • Experience with the Google Suite and its associated softwares

Nice to have

  • Experience of and with the following platforms; Slack, Asana, Notion, Wordpress, and the Google Suite

  • Knowledge of the esports and wider gaming industry, as well as surrounding industries such as sports, betting, tech and entertainment 

  • A pre-existing strong network within gaming, esports, sports, and/or creator economy sectors

  • Client management experience, confident in building relationships and pitching new ideas 

  • Experience working in fast-growing or start-up media and event brands
