As a Game Designer, you will craft engaging features, content, and LiveOps events that boost player enjoyment, retention, and lifetime value. You’ll turn ideas into well-designed experiences, enriched by strong documentation, impactful balancing, player insights, and close collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams. 

Your daily tasks will include:

Game Features Design and Implementation

  • Design and implement engaging game features, content, and LiveOps events to drive player engagement and retention.
  • Define game mechanisms, rules, and ensure everything is balanced wisely.
  • Create levels, missions, and other game aspects to deliver creative, immersive, and addictive gameplay.
  • Create wireframes and design documentation to support smooth production.
  • Collaborate with Designers, Artists, Programmers, and other team members to ensure features are delivered as intended.
  • Use player feedback, analytics, and market benchmarks to evaluate performance and iterate on designs.
  • Troubleshoot design-related issues during development and follow the full production cycle to ensure quality execution.

Ideation & Pitches

  • Host brainstorming sessions and pitch new game features or modes.
  • Present approved designs to stakeholders and align cross-discipline execution.

Knowledge Sharing and Support

  • Assisting Studio Lead Game Designer and Producers in all related-Game Design matters, within the scope of the assigned projects, or team/department;
  • Research market trends and competitors.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of proven experience in a Game Designer role with at least 1 shipped games (in any platform). Previous experience with a highly successful casual game title is a big plus
  • Strong understanding of the market trend and target audience in gaming platforms
  • Good knowledge on game mechanics, LiveOps design, UI/UX, retention strategy, psychology
  • Basic knowledge on level design and game balancing
  • Game KPI analysis & data-driven decision making
  • Confident in pitching, presenting, and working in a collaborative team
  • Open-minded and fast learner with great creative thinking skills
  • Fluent in English.

Will be a plus:

  • Knowledge of monetization psychology and strategy
  • Knowledge of some popular game engines such as Unity
  • Basic knowledge of art fundamentals
  • Basic programming knowledge to understand easily the scripts.
