Gameloft Montreal is seeking a new Data Analyst to join the team working on DISNEY DREAMLIGHT VALLEY, a brand cross-platform hybrid life-sim/adventure game already available! From the beginning of your adventure with us, you will be tasked with:
As part of the Game Production and Live Ops teams, under the supervision of the Lead Product Manager and Lead Data Analyst, the successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, clean, analyze, and automate data processes. They will model, predict, and segment large datasets, generate insights to drive decisions, and support the continuous improvement of the technical data team.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and performance monitoring from multiple data sources.
- Collaborate on feature development for data mining, tracking, and visualization; design and maintain end-to-end data pipelines with the data engineering team.
- Proactively generate analyses and insights to support user acquisition, retention, and monetization strategies.
- Monitor player behavior through GameOps events and A/B tests, identifying opportunities for optimization and new feature design.
- Troubleshoot data issues, ensure metric accuracy, and communicate findings and recommendations to development teams to influence strategy.
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of quantitative analysis experience, ideally in gaming, online services, or technology, with a Bachelor’s degree in Math, Business Intelligence, Economics, Engineering, or related technical field.
- Strong business and monetization acumen, with proven ability to translate game needs into data analytics requirements.
- Advanced SQL and Excel skills; experience handling large datasets and building ETL/ELT workflows for analytics-ready formats.
- Proficiency with visualization and reporting tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and presenting insights to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of statistical methods, modeling, and machine learning; ability to design complex models and algorithms.
- Nice to have: programming skills in R/Python and experience designing and analyzing A/B tests.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), as the role involves frequent interactions as well as handling documentation intended for partners based in other Gameloft studios internationally.
- Team-oriented, and passionate about video games.
