Job Description
Under the supervision of the Audio Manager, and in collaboration with the various stakeholders involved in the creation of our games (audio directors, producers, project managers, etc…), the Audio Lead role includes:
Overseeing of the day-to-day audio operations
Driving the project’s audio vision forward on the day-to-day
Defining the games' sound needs (creative, technical)
Defining the artistic direction for music, sound effects and voiceovers
Supervising the SFX/Music/VO creation, implementation, integration and optimization
Getting involved in the hands-on creation, implementation, integration and optimization of the key audio features
Contributing to building the Brisbane studio’s audio team, proactively leveraging outsourcing and support from the World Audio Department as needed
Championing audio and contributing to build an inspiring interactive audio culture in the Brisbane studio
Working with the Brisbane studio teams to ensure that the audio integration pipeline is optimized and that the audio tech needs are met
Acting as the bridge and main point of contact between Brisbane’s teams, external partners and the World Audio Department
Owning the mix
Supervising content-approval processes with our partners, when necessary
Sharing know-how, best practices and acting as a mentor and coach
Supporting the Audio Manager and Brisbane’s Studio Manager in maintaining a well-organized and sustainable team within a productive atmosphere
Qualifications
Solid experience with interactive SFX, Music and VO production for games
Proven experience as sound designer on several published games
Excellent knowledge of modern audio production tools and techniques
Experience with interactive audio mixing for games
Highly proficient with Wwise Audio Middleware
Proficient with Unreal Game Engine
Comfortable with project management tools (Jira, Confluence etc.)
Strong, inspiring communicator
