As a key member of the group, you will work directly with the Advanced Technology Group (known as ATG) as well as our Character Animation Research Team (known as the A-Team).

In this role, you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing key player experiences across the entire EA SPORTS Portfolio. Looking at driving innovation across areas such as character customization and user generated content for millions of players around the world on some of the biggest franchises in gaming.

What you will do:

  • Establish and deploy product design principles, processes and standards to ensure we build experiences that meet the expectations of our players

  • Advocate, articulate design rational and be responsible for user experience, product consistency, and design excellence in our products across all levels in the organization

  • Understand and translate the vision and goals of our products into applicable deliverables and long-term strategies to meet those needs

  • Create user stories, concept sketches, experience storyboards, high fidelity designs, and rapid prototypes for product features

  • Collaborate with our UX Research Team to identify areas of opportunity and uncover player needs

  • Ensure that design solutions are practical to build from an engineering and scope perspective

  • Organize meetings with design and product leadership to guide progress against goals and establish clear next steps

  • Participate in sharing constructive feedback in design reviews based on product goals

  • Build relationships with our cross disciplinary team, and partner groups to set priorities towards meaningful design solutions to meet goals within technical constraints.

Ideally you will have:

  • 6+ years of progressive responsibility in product design or user experience design roles

  • Expert capabilities in Interaction Design, Prototyping and Visual Design (For Console, PC or Mobile)

  • Experience presenting/pitching work to your team

  • Well versed in facilitation techniques that allow groups to build clarity and understanding

  • A portfolio of work that showcases relevant work that contains well thought out process and excellent craft execution

  • You are experienced in Figma and the Adobe Suite

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI/Design Diploma or Degree, or a related area

  • A hunger to learn and grow, keeping up to date on the latest industry trends.

Bonus:

  • Experience with the full development lifecycle (shipped multiple games and/or products)

  • Experience designing UX for workflow/content creation tools

  • Experience in 3D animation applications such as Maya/Motionbuilder
