We are DRE (Development & Release Engineering) - a central EA team at the intersection of DevOps, Release Management and Build Engineering. We build, manage and maintain the build pipelines for the majority of EA's studios worldwide.
We are looking for an engineer to work with our DRE Cobra team that is currently based in Europe and are now expanding in North America. You'll work with developing and evolving the Continuous Integration and Deployment systems for the games being developed at EA, and provide support for these services. You will report to a Software Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the development of our build scripts, tools, and services for automating game processes (i.e. automation to turn source code and assets into playable games). You will work closely with our customers to ensure we can provide services that help them improve their software and find the fun faster.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as DevOps Engineer.
Experienced Python Developer (Click, PyTest, Pip).
Experience in Groovy, Jenkins JobDSL, and Jenkins Pipeline or similar CI system.
Good software development practices (Code Reviews, Unit Testing).
Familiarity with container/VM technologies (Docker, vSphere, and Kubernetes).
Familiarity with Source Control concepts: Git, Perforce or similar tools.
Familiarity with Gitlab (or similar technologies).
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (We use Terraform).
Monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana, DataDog.
Experience with As-Code management tools (e.g. Ansible, Packer).
Familiarity with Document Databases (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
Experience with Package repositories (e.g. Artifactory).
Experience with Cloud technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS).
Experience in languages such as C# and PowerShell.

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
