The Data & Insights (D&I) team is involved in every aspect of data at EA, using it to deliver valuable insights and solutions for game teams and players. We drive strategy, build data and AI tools, and support personalization, experimentation, and analytics. We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our analytics team supporting a high-definition title in development. In this hybrid role based in Vancouver or Montreal, you'll collaborate with product managers, engineers, game designers, and quality teams to enhance player experiences and drive business outcomes through data. Reporting to the Manager of Analytics, you'll use your expertise to inform strategic decisions across product optimization, gameplay features, technology, testing, and overall quality.

What You'll Do

Analyse player and product data to uncover patterns and recommend opportunities to improve performance, stability, automation and test coverage and bug metrics
Build dashboards, reports, and visualisations that help stakeholders make better, faster decisions
Contribute to the development of predictive models and other applications of machine learning that personalise player experiences or support product decisions
Explore and apply generative AI tools to increase the efficiency of your own work and support scalable insights
Work with partners to define the right questions to ask and the right data to use, helping embed data in daily decision-making
Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences

What You'll Bring

3+ years of experience in data analysis or applied analytics, in gaming, mobile apps, or other digital products
Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets; experience with analysis and modelling in Python or R
Experience with visualisation tools such as Looker, PowerBI
You'll translate business needs into technical data requirements
Experience with or interest in using machine learning and generative AI tools to support analytics or player insights
You will use storytelling to convert business objectives into analytical questions, and communicate results with practical recommendations and actionable steps.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
You'll manage assigned tasks including work planning for assigned deliverables

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$91,100 - $126,900 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
