Reporting to a Development Director, A Senior Business Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and improving our data collection, storage, and analysis processes, in order to support data-driven decision-making.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will establish, manage, and facilitate the Data Governance Committee to ensure all team members are aligned with data strategy, setting data standards, data quality, risk management, education and training, conflict resolution, and our decision-making processes.

  • Conduct data maturity assessments to understand our readiness for advanced analytics and data science initiatives.

  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in data management and analytics.

  • Develop and implement data quality management practices to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data used in decision-making.

  • Collaborate with partners to understand our business- needs and translate them into requirements and then into data-driven solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.

  • Communicate complex data findings into a consumable format to non-technical partners

  • Develop and implement data-driven dashboards and reports to aid decision-making within Operations.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in a senior position.

  • Proficient in BI technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and Excel.

  • Experience with project management and issue tracking tools such as Jira and Understanding of cloud-based applications, preferably with experience in Jira as a Service (JaaS).

  • Experience with integrating Jira with other data and business intelligence tools.

  • You can bridge the gap between both technical and non-technical partners.

  • You can translate complex data into understandable insights and strategic recommendations.

  • Experience with data governance practices and principles.

  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices.

  • Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) certification or other relevant certifications can be an advantage.
