Senior Business Analyst - Infrastructure Cost Management
Infrastructure & Platform Services builds and runs the technology foundation for EA's games. Our teams deliver the live services and backend infrastructure that are used to ship, and operate secure, reliable game experiences for millions of players worldwide.
You will be part of our Production Infrastructure & Engineering team, collaborating with us to create modern hosting solutions that support millions of players globally. You will report to the Director Cost and Capacity Management. You will guide our cloud and SaaS cost management, using automation and analytics to improve how you build, launch, and operate games.
Responsibilities:
You will manage cost forecasting, allocation, and chargeback reporting for a significant portion of our PI&E cloud and SaaS spend, partnering with Finance and technical teams to translate requirements into actionable insights.
You will use SQL and Python to analyse infrastructure spend, validate data quality, and create automation that improves accuracy and reduces manual effort across our workflows.
You will define project scope and deliverables, identifying risks and building contingency plans to ensure analyses are delivered end to end.
You will communicate findings to partners and leadership, turning complex technical data into clear stories that inform decisions across Product, Engineering, and studio teams.
Qualifications:
3+ years in an analytical role such as business analysis, finance, data analysis, or analytics engineering, with experience managing project scope and timelines
Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries and validating data quality, plus hands-on experience with Python for analysis, automation, or scripting
Experience building process improvements, showing measurable impact on workflow efficiency and accuracy
Familiarity with infrastructure costs and usage patterns on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Familiarity with FinOps concepts and frameworks
This is a hybrid remote/in-office role.
Pay Transparency - North America
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES * British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$92,900 - $129,200 CAD
Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.
