The Challenge ahead
The Global Inventory and PI&E team based in Geneva are responsible for EA’s Global inventory held in third-party warehouses located in North America, UK, Czech Republic, Mexico and Hong Kong.
Also, they provide support for EA’s North American-based PI&E, EADP and EAIT teams who provide the infrastructure and technical expertise to support EA’s digital gaming platform and IT structure. This evolving world is at the forefront of digital gaming. Thus, providing lots of opportunity for career growth and progression.
We're looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Controllership Team. You will participate in the accounting of Worldwide activities including some of the Inventory, Technology, and Infrastructure booking.
Responsibilities include:
PI&E, EADP, EAIT
Prepare journal entries including among others:
Monthly accruals
Re-class journals
Capitalization and amortisation of Prepayments
Lease accounting entries
Intercompany Journal entries
Participation to selected monthly cost review meetings with FP&A and non-finance budget holders using technical solutions and visualization tools to use our Business Intelligence and to prepare accruals or reclassification entries
Inventory
Monitoring inventory transactions
Working with operations team to resolve negative inventory or costing issues.
Verifying accurate av. costs.
Reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger
Preparing and uploading monthly journal entries.
Prepare Cogs reviews
Preparation of GRNI reconciliations
Follow up and resolve PO queries
General
Prepare Cadency reconciliations.
Running and downloading the main GL, inventory and transactions reports.
Maintain process control documents.
Provide back up to audit queries.
Ad hoc projects
Train others or pass on knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor/master's degree in commerce (Finance or Accounting)
Technical accounting background
8 years of general ledger accounting experience is required.
Inventory or Cost accounting experience with an understanding of GAAP concerning inventory.
Excel skills to Macro level
Ability to work with all levels throughout the organisation
Oracle R12 financial application experience
Cadency experience
Power BI experience
